UMM accepts 12 College Students from Thailand

Malang- New student admission of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was just opened last mid of March. However, public interest toward popular private campus in east Java is relatively high. Not only from local, number of foreign students have already registered at UMM.

Some time ago, 10 college students from Singapore registered in graduate program of Islamic study, and 1 from Palestine registered at Management program. This semester, 12 students from Thailand will pursue their study at UMM in some undergraduate program.

Rector assistant of International affair, Suparto, explains the 12 candidates will pursue their study in English, Bahasa Indonesia, Math, Sociology, Syaria and Tarbiyah, Law and Engeneering. “They will start their study next semester,” he adds.

The incoming 12 students from Thailand increases number of foreign students at UMM. Previously, tens of students from the exchange program and Darmasiswa scholarship from some countries have already completed their study at UMM. The incoming students from Acicis Australia and 33 college students of preservice training from United States shows UMM in world class. (www.umm.ac.id)
