Students at Yogya taught from German

And their teachers are native speaker from Canada who pursue his study in Germany, named Janine. Besides, high school students of Muha (call for SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta) and some high school students of Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta accompanied by their teachers and the students from SMA Negeri 1 Sungailiat Bangka who were following the student exchange program, also follows the long-distance English classes.

This learning activity carried out via teleconference was made possible through work of a movement called 1000guru (see www.1000guru.net). 1000guru Movement founded particularly was to overcome one of the fundamental problems of elementary-secondary education in Indonesia such as "the lack of teachers", both from the number, quality, or its spread, by utilizing the abundance of human resources are scattered in areas of non-primary education -secondary across the world. Majority of volunteer teachers were Indonesian students who were studying abroad. In addition, they also invite their friends abroad who are care about the issue of education to join. Some Muhammadiyah schools are already working with 1000guru in the distance learning this.
