Without Muhmmadiyah, Indonesia Is Lame as Superior and Strategic National Power

MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA – Responding to National Education Day on 2 May, General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir stated that Muhammadiyah has played essential roles in education besides social and health areas since a colonial era.

“Muhammadiyah educational institutions have been spread across Indonesia including the frontier, outermost, and remote areas when other organizations have not,” declared Haedar in an interview on Thursday (2/5).

According to Haedar, Muhammadiyah educational institutions are genuinely inclusive and needed by community regardless their religion, group, tribe, and primordialism.

When Indonesia focuses on human resource development in industrial revolution 4.0. bearing barriers and competitions, the existence and roles of Muhammadiyah are vital.

“Without Muhammadiyah, Indonesia is lame as superior and strategic national power,” emphasized Haedar.
