Muhammadiyah embarked Medic and SAR to Garut

Garut-Flash floods which swept Garut regency destroying hundreds of homes and caused the death of some residents, made ​​the Muhammadiyah through Disaster Management Agency to give special attention by embarking medical teams from several hospitals and rescue teams from the Muhammadiyah Central Java.

This was said by the head ofthe Central Executive of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Institute, Budi Setiawan met at the central building of Muhammadiyah Jl. Cik Di Tirono.23, on Sunday (08/11/2011) According to Budi Setiawan, the team had been departed on Saturday from the Muhammadiyah hospital Bandung and PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong with logistics, medicine, accompanied by nurses and doctors. Regarding handling of evacuation and rescue of victims and their property, according toBudi, the SAR team from Central Java Muhammadiyah had also been dispatched. "Search and Rescue team from Central Java does have a water rescue skills that are currently needed at Garut," he explained.

Meanwhile, according to public relation of LPB PP Muhammadiyah, Machhendra Setyo Atma, lately the team has already stayed at Mauk and handled victims in the region of Cikelet and Pamuengpeuk and Muhammadiyah SAR team with the community and local authorities, assisted in the evacuation and rescue community property.
