MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA - Commencing activities after Ramadan, Office of Muhammadiyah of Jakarta conducted an Idul Fitri gathering at Aula K.H. Ahmad Dahlan of Muhammadiyah Dakwah Center, Jakarta on Monday (17/6).

The gathering was attended by a Board of Trustees of Muhammadiyah of Jakarta, all office heads, representatives of autonomous organizations, several rectors of Muhammadiyah higher education institutions, and General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu’ti.

“I, representing the Central Board of Muhammadiyah, apologize if we made mistakes in serving people. I thank a secretariat of Muhammadiyah Jakarta working for implementing fastabiqul khairat,” declared Abdul Mu’ti.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Muhammadiyah Dadang Kahmad advised Muhammadiyah members to commit to working for the people.

“Performing amar ma’ruf nahi munkar must be hard. Indeed, there are phenomena of deism and secularization. We seem as if we are not closed to Allah so that we are not cautious. Many people are not istiqamah since they focus on mundane aspects. At morning they are believers, at evening they are not,” asserted Dadang.

“Innama al-usri yusron. Each success begins with a difficulty. The crux is that we have to learn. A characteristic of the believers is having knowledge. If they do not possess it, they will be eliminated. Intelligent people, Prophet says, take long consideration so that they can distinguish goodness and badness,” conveyed Dadang.
