MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, PAYAKUMBUH - General Chairwoman of the Central Board of Aisyiyah Siti Noordjannah Djohantini was present at Aisyiyah’s 105th Anniversary Commemoration conducted by Aisyiyah of Pakumbuh on Sunday (23/6) at Masjid Nurul Huda of Payobungan, Payakumbuh, Sumatra Barat.
Under a theme of “Aktualisasi Risalah Pencerahan untuk Dakwah Melintas Batas” (Actualizing Enlightenment Minutes for Dakwah Crossing Borders), the celebration was attended by thousands of Aisyiyah cadres of Payakumbuh.
In her remark, Chair of Aisyiyah Regional Board of Sumatra Barat Meiliarni Rusli stated that the anniversary commemoration aimed to reinforce silaturahim among leaders, cadres, and members of Muhamamdiyah and Aisyiyah in Sumatra Barat after Idul Fitri 1440 H.
It was also addressed to encourage people to perform good deeds through Muhammadiyah or Aisyiyah.
Meanwhile, Noorjanah Djohantini declared that at the age of 105 Aisyiyah should be developed since the movement possess fundamental charity as kindergartens that the number is 26 percent of early childhood education schools (PAUD).
“Kindergartens are the most fundamental charity of Aisyiyah so that they should be well-managed and fostered,” conveyed Noorjanah.
Aisyiyah should be maintained so that the movement benefits others, not merely for interests of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah.
“Interests of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah are prospering and educating people and this nation,” explained Noordjanah.
She inserted that Aisiyiyah is moving dynamically and doing its duties as mentioned on the theme of the 105th Aisyiyah anniversary.
According to Noordjanah, Aisyiyah has evolved beyond borders and has been underlain by progressive Islamic values.
“As a female wing of Muhammadiyah, Aisyiyah is the greatest strength of Indonesian Muslims and possesses responsibility for performing dakwah of generosity, nationality, and humanity in all life aspects,” asserted Noordjannah.
In its glory, Aisyiyah do not overlook Islamic values and enlightenment movement that Islam always disseminates goodness and virtue, glorifies dignity of men and women without any discrimination, creates peace, appreciates diversity, educates this nation, upholds good morals, and empower humans.
