MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, BANTUL - General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah boosted Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah (Muhammadiyah Youth Organizations - AMM) to enliven vigor of Islam leading to development. It was declared by Haedar at a gathering with people of Muhammadiyah Branch (PRM) of Tamantirto and an inauguration of KOKAM conducted at his dwelling on Friday (5/7).

He also mentioned several essential points for the AMM.

First, he required the AMM to revive Muhammadiyah branches as a spearhead of this movement. The branches posses vital roles in achieving goals of Muhammadiyah.

“To resurrect the branches entails synergy of both Muhammadiyah seniors and youths. Besides, the youths should initiate to utilize masjid and mushola to empower community. Thus, the masjid and mushola become places to raise Islam, people, and social life. The enthusiasm should be directed to virtue,” conveyed Haedar.

Furthermore, Haedar expected the AMM to be more harmonious and integrated. They may also be able to mingle with and stimulate the community. In a social life, youths play crucial roles. The integration is an effort to mold a tradition of mutual cooperation to unite the community.

“The mutual help represents an Islamic identity since it shows compassion, and then embody unity. Thus, radicalism and terrorism will not exist in the community,” emphasized Haedar.

Additionally, the gathering was also attended by the Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah Siti Noordjanah Djohantini, Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Agus Taufiqurrahman who also delivered preaching, a Muhammadiyah figure of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) Hamdan Hambali, Head of PWM of DIY JGita Danupranata, Vice Head of MPI of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Najib Burhani, and hundreds of guests.
