MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, MALAYSIA - General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir went to Perlis, Malaysia on 11-13 July 2019.

The visit aimed to establish a Muhammadiyah university in Malaysia. Perlis is a state in Malaysia which possesses similar religious views to Muhamamdiyah.

Haedar accompanied by other Muhammadiyah representatives visited three universities in Perlis, namely Universitas Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP), Universitas Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPS).

They also met and had dinner with a wife of Raja Muda of Perlis in the palace.

The visit was addressed to cooperate with government of Perlis in fields of education and dakwah and with the three universities.

Additionally the Muhammadiyah representatives were General Secretary of Muhamamadiyah Abdul Mu’ti, Chairman of Muhamamdiyah Dahlan Rais, Secretary of Office of Higher Education, Research and Development Muhammad Sayuti, and Rector of UMKT Bambang Setiadji.
