MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, TANGSEL - Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) collaborating with the Central Board of Muhammadiyah conducted a campaign and Pancasila state action as Darul ‘Adhi Wasy Syahadah on Saturday (13/7).
Organized at Hall of SEAMOLEC of Universitas Terbuka Pondok Cabe, Tangerang Selatan, the campaigned raised a theme of ‘Information Ethics.’
The program was attended by Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah for Library and Information Affairs Dadang Kahmad, Vice Chair of Office of Literature and Information Edy Kuschayanto, Director of the SEAMOLEC Alpha Ammirachman, and a senior staff of the Kemenko PKM Aris Darmansyah.
Dadang requested people not to easily believe hoaxes.
“When receiving news, we have to ensure three aspects that it is true, good, and valuable for other people,” he mentioned.
Meanwhile, Aris declared that maintaining harmony is non sense if it does not go hand in hand with being wise to use social media.
“Social media bring huge impacts on our life. We should filter all information before sharing it,” expressed Aris.
Besides, the program coordinator Faozan Amar informed that the campaign was a follow up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) collaborating with the Central Board of Muhammadiyah to promote Decree of the 47th Muhammadiyah Congress, namely a Pancasila State as Darul ‘Ahdi Waysadah.
“This program aims to rejuvenate Pancasila values so that Pancasila is not only a symbol but also can be implemented in daily activities including being wise to employ social media. We have to start from ourselves since this nation needs role models,” emphasized Faozan.
