BPKH of the Republic of Indonesia and Muhamamdiyah Sign MoU

MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA -Muhammadiyah signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Hajj Fund Management Board (BPKH) of the Republic of Indonesia. The MoU signing was undertaken along with the anniversary commemoration of the BPKH.

Conducted at Ballroom Hotel Aryaduta, Jakarta Pusat, the MoU was regarding investment, loans, and social programs.

“The MoU focuses on sharia opinion expression dealing with hajj fund management, fatwas, consultation of institution cooperation, scientific studies, focus group discussion, and social services,” mentioned Chair of the BPKH Anggito Abimanyu.

Representing Muhammadiyah, Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Dadang Kahmad congratulated the BPKH for the second anniversary. He also stated that the MoU may be able to be performed well.

“I thank the directorate, both supervisors and executors, for providing us this occasion. We will leverage this fund which may be lower than that of banks. May Muhammadiyah and another charity be able to utilize the fund so that they can become the center of excellence,” expressed Dadang.

The BPKH has collaborated with Lazismu in the utilization of CSR funds. The difference is in this new cooperation that the funds are utilized by Muhammadiyah as loans.

Besides, at the anniversary commemoration, the BPKH signed MoU with Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and National Amil Zakat Board (Baznas).

Chairman of the BPKH Supervisory Board Yuzlam Fauzi expected that all cooperation could be carried out well as a commitment to serve people.

“The MoU denotes trust to stakeholders as a theme of the second anniversary commemoration, namely ‘Creating Public Trust’. We wish that all cooperation runs optimally,” declared Fauzi.
