SLEMAN, MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID — General  Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir inaugurated Surya Nglojimart and attended a groundbreaking of Islamic Boarding School of Muhammadiyah, Minggir at Wisma Muhamamdiyah, Nglojo, Minggir, Sleman on Sunday (28/7).

It was also attended by Regent of Sleman Sri Purnomo, Deputy Regent of Sleman Sri Muslimatun, Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., Vice Rector of UMY Suryo Pratolo, and Chair of Muhammadiyah Branch (PCM) of Minggir Nasirun.

Haedar appreciated the PCM Minggir for always disseminating dakwah throughout remote areas of Indonesia such as in Arrar Island of Papua Barat, Kalimantan, and Nusa Tenggara.

Haedar continued that Muhammadiyah has possessed vigor of Al-Maun and Al-Israa verse 7, in ahsantum ahsantum lianfusikum wain asatum falaha (If you do good, you do good for yourselves, and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves).

“How much we have, we have to devote it since it will return to us. What the PCM has, it is not for the chair,” asserted Haedar. Indeed, all endeavors of chairs of Muhamamdiyah branches will become good deeds.

He also reminded a notion of an intention of performing the good deeds. “Innamal a’malu binniyat. It is not about whether you do small or big, but your attention and endeavor matter. Many rich people do not have any intention so that it is hard for them to spend their money performing infaq, shadaqah, and amal jariyah,” emphasized Haedar.

Meanwhile, Nasirun stated that the boarding school establishment aimed to educate young generations. He believed that Muslims are demanded to be good at not only aqidah and akhlak but also discovering livelihoods.

He also informed that the boarding school is for females and males and comprises of several floors.

It is located in a complex of Office of Muhammadiyah branch of Kebonagung, Minggir, Sleman. The construction may spend 1.9 billion rupiahs.
