MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA – General Chairman of the Cental Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir welcomed a  visit of General Chairman of Nahdlatul Wathan (PBNW) Lalu Gede Muhammad Zainuddin Atsani on Monday (5/8) at Muhammadiyah Office, Cik Ditiro No. 23 Yogyakarta.

 

Haedar stated that the silaturahim was to discuss essential programs.

 

"We expected that a network of Islamic movements can coin concrete  actions to empower people," he wished.

 

 

Haedar conveyed that the silaturahim between the Islamic movements and various national elements can be maintained and they can be more proactive.

 

"In the silaturahim, we also talk about and negotiate Muslims' thoughts for the development of this nation," declared Haedar.

 

Besides, the PBNW wwould like to learn a system of Muhammadiyah in fostering charity, paticulary in an educational area.

 

"We will later invite an educational  Muhammadiyah divison to collaborate, and we are eager to grasp the system," explained Gede.

 

Additionally, who accompanied Haedar to welcome the PBNW party were Chair of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC)   and chairman of the central board of Muhammadiyah Budi Setiawan.
