MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA - Office of Amil, Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah of Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) always disseminates vigor of humanity through providing aids in terms of construction of temporary shelters, reconstruction, and rehabilitation in Lombok, Palu, and Banten.

In Eid al-Adha, Lazismu conducted a program of ‘Berqurban untuk Kemanusiaan’ (Sacrifice for Humanity).

“Lazismu undertakes the sacrifice as a support to humanitarian actions besides a response to disasters. In this program, we produce rendang (a meat dish originating from West Sumatra) packaged in cans, and distribute them to disaster-affected areas,” informed Director of Lazismu Hilman Latief when welcoming cooperation with PT Bintang Toedjoe at Muhammadiyah Office on Thursday (8/8).

He added that Lazismu organized a similar program abroad such as Myanmar (Rohingya), Bangladesh, and Palestine.

“We wish that Lazismu can spread vigor of sacrifice and sacrifice for humanity,” declared Hilman.

The spirit of humanity underlay Lazismu to cooperate with PT Bintang Toedjoe Bejo Jahe Merah that believes Lazismu is one of the greatest Muhammadiyah bodies effectuating various programs.

Meanwhile, Director of PT Bintang Toedjoe Simon Jonatan stated that his party commits to sharing with the needy, particularly in this Eid al-Adha.

“Hence, together with Lazismu, we promote a notion that Indonesian people should assist one another and give zakat to the needy,” conveyed Simon at a press conference in Muhammadiyah Office, Yogyakarta.

Additionally, attending the press conference was General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir, leaderships of the Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah, Head of Brand of Jahe Merah David Herlambang, and Brand Ambassador of Bejo Jahe Merah Cholidi.

“This collaboration between Lazismu and PT Bintang Toedjoe is a positive program to disseminate vigor of the sacrifice. May this cooperation be able to reinforce a chain of goodness, especially in commemorating this Eid al-Adha,” expressed Cholidi.
