MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA - Office of Amil, Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah of Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) collaborating with PT Bintang Toedjoe conducted a simultaneous sacrificial program in 1000 mosques throughout Indonesia.

General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir stated that Bintang Toedjoe has contributed to and assisted people through this cooperation with Lazismu.

“In Islam, vigor of the sacrifice is essential since it implies that everyone having an advantage should share,” declared Haedar in a press conference at Muhammadiyah Office, Yogyakarta on Thursday (8/8).

He explained that the spirit of sharing represents closeness between Allah and His servants. The zeal of sacrifice sparks the zeal of sharing.

“This cooperation engaging entrepreneurs may bring blessings. We may not feel that we lose something or get bankrupt because of sharing,” wished Haedar.  

He added that, in Islam, a concept of the blessings is for all people. Sharing generates a lot of unpredictably great things.

Indeed, one of the national issues is social inequality. This problem should structurally be resolved through social and moral means. Here, social organizations and private companies play roles in conducting a short-term generosity program and a long-term empowerment program.

Haedar informed that Muhammadiyah collaborating with PT Bintang Toedjo possesses a short-term program, namely the sacrifice which can be understood as sharing happiness.

“For a long-term program, Muhammadiyah empowers community, particularly in 3T (the outermost, frontier, and remote) areas, through Office of Community Empowerment, Lazismu, and ‘Aisyiyah,” mentioned Haedar.
