MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANTUL - An educator of Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) of Tebuireng, Jombang, Jawa Timur Salahhuddin Wahid or well-known as Gus Solah and his wife Nyai Hj. Farida came to a dwelling of General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir and Ibu Siti Noordjanah Djohantini in Kasihan, Bantul on Wednesday (14/8).
“Now we meet at my house,” stated Haedar. They have seen one another several times in Muhammadiyah Office of Jakarta.
The silaturahim aimed to interweave a brotherhood among Muslims. “We have possessed a strong tradition of silaturahim since the era of Kiai Dahlan and Kiai Hasyim Asy’ari because they were friends. Thus, we are making a film of them.
Haedar told that they shared views on a current condition of people and this nation in the one-hour meeting.
“We have a lot of homework regarding the people and this nation which needs Muslim and national figures’ thoughts. We often meet in a number of occasions, and we always update information,” he inserted.
Interweaving silaturahim, according to Haedar, should be civilized among youths. The silaturahim should be undertaken with people form various organizational backgrounds so that ukhuwah (a relationship) remains tough. “Ukhuwah does not exist without silaturahim,” emphasized Haedar.
Additionally, prior to visiting Haedar’s house, Gus Sholah attended an event in Pondok Pesantren of Krapyak, Sewon, Bantul, and had silaturahim to a dwelling of Head of Cultural and Sports Office (LSBO) of Muhamamdiyah Sukriyanti A.R. in Kota Gede.
