MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Yunahar Ilyas was selected as the most influential Islamic scholar in Islamic finance industry development in Indonesia. Due to his dedication, Yunahar achieved an award of the Sharia Figure 2019 for Ulema Category from Majalah Investor in the Investor Best Syariah Award 2019 conducted on Thursday (22/8).

Yunahar Ilyas has devoted himself to being a professors at Faculty of Islamic Studies of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. He also now becomes Vice General Chairman of National Sharia Council (DSN) and Vice General Chairman of Indonesia Ulema Council (MUI).

Director of Beritasatu Media Holding Primus Dorimulu opening the gala award stated that the award aimed to boost the national sharia financial industry development. It was also addressed to trigger sharia financial economic actors and community to contribute to developing the national sharia economy.

The Majalah Investor also gave the award to an academician as well as teacher of Faculty of Economy and Business of University of Padjadjaran, Bandung Dian Masyita who is also a consultant of Bank Indonesia.

The Best Syariah Award 2019 of Majalah Investor was also rewarded to 13 sharia financial institutions and 15 products.
