MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA - General Chairwoman of the Central Board of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (PPNA) Diyah Puspitarini participated in the 10th World Assembly Religions for Peace in Lindau, Germany on 20-23 August 2019.
Diyah informed that the forum talked about issues of interfaith women in the world. Besides, at the Women Pre-Assembly, female religious figures agreed that peace education for women is an answer to women’s issues since each religion possesses a distinctive interpretation.
At the forum, Diyah presented how to create peace and she put Indonesia as an example due to its diversity.
“Tolerance and mutual respect for other religious believers are resolutions to issues of the differences. Indeed, diversity has existed in Indonesia long before its independence as its national motto, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity),” stated Dyah.
She asserted that the greatest potential of Indonesia is its diversity.
“Thus, each religious scholar may provide people comprehensions of the diversity without any discrimination,” emphasized Dyah.
