To Perform a Mandate of the Muhammadiyah Congress, the MPS Collaborates with 30 NGOs

MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA - To perform a mandate of Muhammadiyah Congress in a field of social services, Office of Social Services (MPS) of Muhammadiyah collaborated with 30 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Indonesia.

Together with Martin James Foundation, the MPS of Muhammadiyah invited 30 NGOs to arrange foci of social service characteristics, to explore their potential, and to formulate visions and missions, indicators, and five-year programs.

Besides enhancing qualifications of the NGO, the MPS of Muhammadiyah seeks to develop cooperation in parenting programs.

“This collaboration is a follow-up of Government Regulation 44 No. 41 on Parenting. We engage the NGO in fostering the parenting programs. We facilitate what can be synergized so that everyone can work together to succeed the programs,” declared Secretary of the MPS of Muhammadiyah Ibnu Tsani on Tuesday (27/8).

“This is a mandate of the Muhammadiyah Congress to manage a parenting service program through a family-based non-orphanage approach. We all accommodate children whose parents can not educate them through this program. The children, then, are equipped with health and educational access,” asserted Tsani.

Additionally, the meeting was conducted for two days (Tuesday and Wednesday, 27-28 August 2019) at Hall of Muhammadiyah Office, Jakarta led by facilitators from Martin James Foundation, Fiona and Dee.
