MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, PONOROGO – To enhance facilities for students and others, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo constructed a building, called Expotorium from June 2018 to August 2019.
Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo Dr. Sulton, M.Si. informed that the construction was accomplished a year.
“The area of the Expotorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo is 4,803 m2 on a land of 6,000 m2. It is equipped with 3,044 seats and a parking area,” stated Dr. Sulton on Saturday (7/9).
He added that the Expotorium of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo can be utilized for a commencement, seminar, sports, art performance, indoor gathering for the university, dakwah dissemination, and social activities organized by Muhammadiyah or public.
Meanwhile, General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir appreciated Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo for innitiating to build the modern Exportorium.
Haedar advised academicians of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo to always be creative and innovative to develop education in the university.
He also reminded Muhammadiyah people of Ponorogo of gratitude to what Muhammadiyah of Ponorogo has achieved. “Muhammadiyah has sought to benefit people,” declared Haedar.
Additionally, the building inauguration was performed by a plaque signing by General Chairman of Muhammadiyah, witnessed by Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Chair of PWM of Jawa Timur, and Head of Board of Trustee of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.
