MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, BEIRUT – The Indonesian Ambassador to Lebanon Hajriyanto Yasin Tohari together with General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir and General Chairwoman of the Central Board ofAisyiyah Siti Noordjanah Djohantiniwitnessed repatriation of 27 female Indonesian migrant workers who were victims of the Criminal Act of Human Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) in Syria.

The workers arrived at the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut, and were warmly welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador Hajriyanto Yasin Thohari and his ladyon Friday (20/9).

Haedar and Noordjannah, who stayed at the Indonesian Ambassador's house,also welcomed the migrant workers coming from Damaskus, Syria.

Prior to their departure from Hariri airport, Beirut, Hariyanto advised them to remain enthusiastic to return to Indonesia and to follow guidance from the embassy staffs accompanying them.

“When arrived in Indonesia, please kindly come to your family, and Insya Allah you will find your best way,” declared Hariyanto.

Meanwhile, General Chairwoman of the Central Board ofAisyiyah Siti Noordjanah Djohantiniencouraged the workers to remain tough and to live their life. “You have become great fighters for your family,” admitted Noordjanah. She emphasized that they are not tempted to work abroad with unclear lure, and proceed their new life.

Besides, Haedar prompted the workers to take lessons from working overseas. “Kindly return to your family with tuma’ninah. Insya Allah, with hardship will be ease,” asserted Haedar.

Additionally, one of the workers required Muhamamdiyah and ‘Aisyiyah to state to President of the Republic of Indonesia to repatriate all migrant workers in Syria. General Chairman of Muhammadiyah and General Chairwoman of ‘Aisyiyah positively responded the request, and pledged to send President a letter.
