MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SLEMAN - The Central Board of ‘Asiyiyah is proud of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta for their achievements. Unisa is the only private university has a permit from Ministry of Research, and Higher Education to provide a master’s program of midwifery.
The aforementioned statements were declared by Chairwoman of the Central Board of ‘Asiyiyah Siti Noordjannah Djohantini in the closing of the 28th Anniversary Commemoration of Unisa Yogyakarta.
“We are grateful for the accomplishments and we need to work harder so that this university can always exist as the only university under a female Indonesian movement,” stated Noordjannah.
At the age of 28, success should become Unisa’s goal. The Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah boosts Unisa Yogyakarta to be a leader of the other Aisyiyah higher education institutions.
“There are two ‘Aisyiyah higher education institutions are proposing to be a university. Unisa Yogyakarta is successful so that we believe Stikes ‘Aisyiyah Solo can be Unisa Solo, Insya Allah. The preparation has been about 60-70 percent,” conveyed Noordjannah.
“The Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah expected that the process can be expedited so that t the change can be announced in the 2nd Tanwir of ‘Aisyiyah. Afterwards, the shift will also be undertaken by Stikes Bandung,” informed Noordjannah.
‘Asiyiyah has existed for 102 years, and always improve its movements for dakwah and humanity.
“Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah are present for not only this nation but also universal humanity,” asserted Noordjannah.
The existence of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah aims to broaden views, namely views of religions. Indeed, progressive Islam becomes a dakwah mission of both movements.
Additionally, Unisa is a chain of ‘Aisyiyah’s dakwah by evolving notions of development and religions, and inter-border dakwah refering to dakwah which does not take a side of certain tribes, races, religions, but implements Islam as rahmatan lil alamin.
“Unisa should be a ‘locomotive’ to perform dakwah of amar maruf nahi mungkar,” she maintained.
