MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SLEMAN -Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani delivered a public lecture on ‘Educating Excellent Intellectual Generation for the National Economic Interdependence’ at Auditorium B of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta on Wednesday (2/10).

Sri Mulyani, Former Director of the World Bank, expected that ‘Aisyiyah can always contribute to the human resource development.

“’Aisyiyah commits to the advancement of human resources. This movement seems a mother bearing a baby and educating him/her to be the best one,” stated Sri Mulyani.

Besides, Sri Mulyani maintained that Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah has firstly evolved with visions of the human resource development through women’s empowerment.

“’Aisyiyah, beginning with Nyai Ahmad Dahlan, has engaged roles of women when many movements and people were not aware of empowering women,” declared Sri Mulyani.

During the lecture, Sri Mulyani frequently motivated Unisa students to be outstanding students, sustain the national economic interdependence, and take actions for this nation.

After giving the lecture, Sri Mulyani and her entourage had silaturahim to Muhammadiyah office Yogyakarta. Their visit was welcomed by General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir and other leaderships of Muhammadiyah.
