MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, SLEMAN- Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla delivered a public lecture at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta.

Jusuf Kalla boosted to Unisa to create skilled alumni having innovative intelligence so that they could become developed scholars.

Raising the theme of ‘Educating Excellent Generations to the Development of This Nation’, Jusuf Kalla stated that the development of this nation relies on intelligence and skills of human resources.

“The advancement of this nation is determined by human resources besides natural resources and geography,” declared Jusuf Kalla.

He added that technology plays an essential role in the world development.

“We will hinge on technology on the future. This life depends on what we yield. The future technology is the results of education and research,” asserted Jusuf Kalla.

Hence, Jusuf Kalla required Unisa to perform three functions, namely education, research, and innovation.

“Unisa should educate students and prioritize research competences and skills of students so that the nation can be evolved,” he emphasized.
