MUHAMMADIYAH. ID, PURWOKERTO – General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir inaugurates three units of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP), namely SM Corner of UMP, Student Dormitory, and Coconut Research Center of UMP.
The inauguration of the three units were conducted simultaneously at UMY on Saturday (19/10).
In his remark, Haedar stated that the unit establishment represents Muhammadiyah’s actions to always perform the vigor of Islam Berkemajuan (Progressive Islam).
“I am proud of UMP that always seeks to improve. This culture should be maintained. Indeed, the SM Corner enables the university members to enhance a reading habit and literacy,” declared Haedar.
He also expected that the dormitory can create cadres who are able to implement Islamic teachings in accordance with Muhammadiyah’s views.
