MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, JAKARTA – The Central Board of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah achieve an award for Public Figure for Stunting Prevention 2019 from government.
General Chairwoman of the Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Dyah Puspitarini representing the organization received the award on Friday (15/11) at Presidential Staff Office, Jakarta Pusat. It was handed over by Chief of Presidential Staff General of TNI (Ret.) Moeldoko.
Diyah stated the stunting prevention is one of the main national programs which the Presidential Staff Office is responsible for monitoring it.
“The issue of stunting prevention is vital since it is about not only a health issue but also a national economic issue which can 2-3-percent loss of GDP per year,” explained Diyah.
Thus, government rewards public figures or institutions promoting the stunting prevention.
The NA possesses a program entitled “Tingkatkan Kemampuan Gizi Seimbang” (Balanced Nutrition Enhancement – TIMBANG). In collaboration with Office of Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah of Muhammadiyah (Lazismu), the program has been undertaken in 34 provinces and 462 regencies/cities of Indonesia that one of them was Rawabelut, Sukaresmi, Cianjur. The main activities of the program were Family Learning Center, family-based supervision, and Pelayanan Remaja Sehat Milik Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (Healthy Youth Service Owned by Nasyiatul Aisyiyah – PASHMINA) which is a holistic service for youths.
Besides the NA, the other nine figures achieving the award were Ratna Megawangi (Indonesia Heritage Foundation), Selina Patta Sumbung (Save the Children), Zack Petersin (1000 days fund), Robyn Soetikno (Teman Bumil), Stevia Angesty (Feelwell Ceramics) , Meitty H.W. Moteiro (PKK of Regency of Sumba Barat), Aripin Ahmad (Poltekes Kemenkes Aceh), Noer Wulan Sari Kaban (Kopernik Foundation), and Heri Kurniawan (Ambassador of Generation Plans 2018 – 2019).
The award inauguration was attended by Moeldoko, an entrepreneur Dato Sri Tahir, and a number of ministry officials.
