Jakarta- As a follow-up from mandate of Mukatamar 46th Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta in 2010, the Council of Economic & Entrepreneurship PP Muhammadiyah held a National Congress (RAKERNAS) I, 14 to 16 May 2011 at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta campus. According to Deputy Secretary of Council of Economics and Entrepreneurship PP Muhammadiyah, Faozan Amar, "Congress is intended as a forum for coordinating the implementation of policies and programs of Muhammadiyah in field of economics and entrepreneurship. Besides being a forum of internal consolidation, Congress expected also to be an arena for sharing ideas and ideas in order to better understand and find solutions to various problems facing the country's economy and the nation, said Faozan added.
Congress themed "Building the Entrepreneurial Ethos, Creating People Economic Independence ". The Congress will be attended by Chairman of Central Executive of Muhammadiyah and Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Chairman of Muhammadiyah provincial executives around Indonesia, members of council of Economic and Entrepreneur of PP Muhammaidyah, provincial members of council of Economic and Entrepreneur of PP Muhammaidyah with total approximately 500 people.
In addition, the meeting also organized the Annual Meeting of Members of Baitul Mal wat Tamwil (BMT) Muhammadiyah / Baitut Tamwil of Muhammadiyah (BTM) attended by the Executive of Islamic microfinance institutions BMT / BTM of Muhammadiyah in Indonesia. While supports of meeting came from seminars, fairs and exhibition of products of the Muhammadiyah and public.
Conggress will be opened by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Dr. H. M. Din Syamsuddin, MA and key note speech, Minister of Economy M. Hatta Rajasa. In addition, lectures will also be filled by guest speaker the Minister of Cooperatives and UKM, Ministry of Forestry and Vice Chairman of the Audit Board.
RAKERNAS will also discuss about Muhammadiyah Economic Blueprint, Muhammadiyah Retail business establishments Guidelines and recommendations for Muhammadiyah’s visions in economics and entrepreneurship, as well as the Muhammadiyah Business Meeting with the theme "Exploring the Potential of Local Resources For Economic Base of the Nation"
