Muhammadiyah Will Conduct Virtual Silaturahim

MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA –The Central Board of Muhammadiayah will conduct a virtual halal bi halal (an Indonesian tradition done after an Islamic day, Eid al Fitr) on Sunday, 14 June 2020. The online meeting will be attended by leaderships of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah in the levels of central executive (national), provincial executive, regional executive, special branches, Muhammadiyah-Aisyiyah higher education, and Muhammadiyah-Aisyiyah hospitals.

“There will be 5,000 participants in the meeting,” informed Secretary of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Agung Danarto in an interview on Saturday (13/6).

The virtual meeting is aimed at reinforcing ukuwah islamiyah among Muhammadiyah leaderships.

It is also a meeting medium for a consolidation of Muhammadiyah in the midst of this pandemic.

“We are supposed to have a Muhammadiyah congress in July, but this pandemic changes the plan,” explained Agus.

Besides, the online meeting will seek to remain guidance provided Muhammadiyah such as worship guidance by Majlis of Tarjih and health protocol by the Muhammdiyah COVID-19 Command Center (MCCC).

Furthermore, Agung encouraged all members of Muhammadiyah to always contribute to create welfare for the universe as commanded by Allah.

 “Thus, our devotion to the nation through this movement should be enhanced and our silaturrahim should always be maintained,” declared Agung.
