MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA – General Chairwoman of the Central Board of 'Aisyiyah Siti Noordjannah Djohantini offered her condolences on the passing of Prof. H. Abdul Malik Fadjar, M.Sc.

“Allaahummaghfirlahu warhamhu wa'afihi wa'fu'anhu. May Allah reward all of his good deeds, and his family may be sincere and tough,” prayed Noordjannah on Monday evening (7/9).

Noordjannah stated that Prof. Malik Fadjar is a national and Muhamamdiyah figure. He was a role model.

“We recognized him as a wise person having broad horizons. He became Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Education, and the Presidential Advisory Board of 2014-2019. He was also Chairman of Muhammadiyah of 2000-2015, Former Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang and Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.

Noordjannah told that Prof. Malik Fadjar devoted his life to Muhammadiyah.

He also often gave preaching in many 'Aisyiyah activities. He always encouraged 'Aisyiyah and appreciated all programs, services and charity of 'Aisyiyah.

“Indeed, he concerned with PAUD/TK ABA ('Aisyiyah kindergartens and early childhood education) in remote areas. He advised that 'Aisyiyah could sincerely develop education from the early childhood education to higher education,” declared Noordjannah.

“He expected that 'Aisyiyah dakwah can be disseminated flexibly and widely and reach people and nations across borders,” she revealed.
