MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA – The Central Board of Muhammadiyah offers condolences to the passing of Dr. K.H. Abdullah Syukri Zakarsyi, M.A., a leader of Modern Boarding School of Darussalam Gontor on Wednesday (21/10).

General Chairman of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir stated that Abdullah Syukri Zakarsyi was a moderate Islamic scholar (kyai) and educator.

“He was a humble figure, easily mingled with many groups of people, committed to Islam, and concerned with education,” expressed Haedar on Wednesday (21/10).

Haedar also told that the deceased has a closed relation with Muhammadiyah.

“May all his good deeds be rewarded by Allah, all his mistakes be forgiven, and his families be tough,” wished Haedar.
