Education Should Adjust to Changes

MUHAMMADIYAH.ID, YOGYAKARTA – The Central Board of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (PP NA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture conducted Technology Guidance (Bimtek) on Learning Reinforcement for Teachers and Educators of Early Childhood Education virtually from Monday to Thursday, 2-5 November 2020.

In her remark, General Chairwoman of the PP NA Diyah Puspitarini stated the COVID-19 pandemic affects education. However, Dyah regarded that this field is deemed late to respond to the circumstance.

“It is fine to do improvements, and it is a must because people around the world confront this pandemic,” declared Diyah.

She urges educators to design modules adjusted to recent conditions as an answer educational issues faced during this pandemic. Indeed, Tri Pusat Pendidikan (Three Educational Cores) should leverage the modules for the early childhood education should be leveraged well.

The three educational cores involving the school, family, and community should be optimized and should accommodate students’ needs. Since the students are under age for formal education, the early childhood education should be able to mold their characters so that guidance is significant to carry out effective and efficient education.

Besides, Diyah expected that the early childhood education and the teachers could adjust themselves to recent situation so that learning issues no longer exist. She added that early childhood education of ‘Aisyiyah, Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah, and others, has the same goals to educate this nation and comply with children’s rights.

“Getting access to education is children’s rights which the world agrees not to disregard,” asserted Diyah.

Children at their golden age should be accompanied and get education without neglecting their rights to have recreation. Hence, no matter what their condition is, they possess opportunities to learn and play. In fact, the essence of education is to transfer knowledge ad values.

Furthermore, Diyah mentioned that 'Aisyiyah has 14 early childhood education institutions across Indonesia. She conveyed that there is not any difference among all early childhood education institutions. 'Aisyiyah and Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah early childhood education synergizes to generate empowered brilliant Indonesian children.
