MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – 'Aisyiyah in collaboration with the Asia Foundation conducted a resilience program in 16 areas in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is expected that the 16 areas can develop the program,” declared Chief of Environment and Disaster Management Center (LLHPB) of the Central Board of 'Aisyiyah Dr. Atika M. Zaki in a national webinar on ‘Learning a Family and Community Resilience Program’ on Thursday (5/11).

She added that the pandemic has altered entire life systems such as health, community, economy, socio-culture, and religion, but 'Aisyiyah people have never been idle and regretted this condition.

“The resilience program comprises many activities addressed to food and family resilience,” stated Atikah.

The activities were farming, raising fish and cultivating quail eggs. "They turn out to be able to increase the income and supply of nutrition for the family. All of these are extraordinary,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, the program advisor Hening Purwanti Parlan reported that they have organized 25 meetings to coordinate with the 16 areas, 5 national meetings, and 14 gatherings in order that they got closed to the LLHPB.

All the meetings were aimed at succeeding the program. Hening believed that they could achieve the success if the top-bottom and bottom-top coordination ran well.

“We, as a center established lastly, are trying to demonstrate our real work, and it is appreciated by many parties. We have collaborated with government, ministries, majlis, and other institutes,” mentioned Hening.

She wished that the support of the Central Board of 'Aisyiyah is essential to succeed the program. The LLHPB would always last the program until it ends.
