The sixth anniversary of UMM Inn Education Hotel took place lively, Sunday (06/26). The entire board of directors, employees and their families attended a healthy walk and played various games in the hotel garden. There were also the Vice Rector II, Drs. Mursidi, MM; the BPH Secretary, Drs. Wakidi; and the Chief of UMM Public Relations, Nasrullah.

The Director of UMM Inn, Ir. Istisbaroh, MM, explained that the series of events of the anniversary was not only family healthy walk, but also social service in the form of blood donating, the distribution of aid to poor people and widows around the hotel, and the compensation to the orphans at the Orphanage of Nurul Hadi Pakisjajar Malang. "Hopefully, through this event we can continue to be grateful and can share to those in need," hoped Istisbaroh.

Mursidi added, the anniversary celebration should be interpreted as an expression of gratitude. In addition, it must be followed by an increase in the commitment to continue moving forward to face the challenges of change. With the gratitude and commitment, then the success would be achieved.

"Service industry such as hotel is very different from the goods industry. For goods, after they have been produced and checked to be good, it is finished. However, it does not happen to the hotel service. The service must be able to adjust to every moment, to provide service as well as possible, and to be in the forefront in service," said Mursidi.

Meanwhile, UMM Inn also used the anniversary momentum to choose a model employee. There was a selection on the best employee for each department. The selection is for choosing the best I, II and III. In addition, they were awarded in the form of vouchers.

UMM Inn was established in 2005 towards the 45th congress of Muhammadiyah in UMM. This hotel was originally named “University Inn”. In 2010, the UMM Rector replaced it into UMM Inn. The hotel is education-nuanced and it has become a best-selling hotel in the area of Kabupaten ​​Malang.
