Strengthen the Merapi victims Faith and Economy, PP

PP 'AisyiyahSleman– Central Leadership (PP) 'Aisyiyah distributes funds raised from donors for economic empowerment to victims and cold lava eruption of Merapi in the form of goats, on Wednesday (02/02/2011) at Masjid Boyong, Hargobinangun, Pakem, Sleman.

A total of 22 goats for Rp. 17. 600.000, - distributed to 20 families and Head of Branch Manager (PC) 'Aisyiyah by lottery system.

Household economic empowerment program through the provision of these goats are part of Merapi disaster rehabilitation program that was launched PP 'Aisyiyah to residents of Sleman and Magelang.

Chairman of the PP 'Aisyiyah, Siti Hadiroh Ahmad, S.Pd., in her speech conveyed, livestock aid is one form of affirmation of faith through the economic aspect. PP 'Aisyiyah, according to Hadiroh, called for the trials that befell the victims who lost family, homes and livelihoods caused by cold lava of Merapi eruption will not undermine the faith community. "Please study is continued. Hopefully this test is to increase our faith," she said.

Coordinator partner procurement and maintenance of livestock, Ahmad Risaf Iskandar, in his briefing about the maintenance of livestock, call it as a family planning program or goat plan 'Aisyiyah. Because the PP 'Aisyiyah do not just give away the goats, but also provide guidance for maintenance, as well as if it is necessary, it can buy the results of livestock reproduction so that the people who helped can avoid a cost game that can inflict financial lost for them.

In the event that was also attended by Treasurer PP 'Aisyiyah, Mahsunah Shakir, Regional Leadership' Aisyiyah Sleman, Ami Aminah Masykur, and delegation of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC), Iskandar added that Boyong residents who receive assistance cattle are expected to maintain their livestock to be able to provide multiple outcomes, as well as do not rush to sell their animals before breeding just for fulfilling their needs which are consumptive and unplanned.
