Surabaya-PP Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Agency is manifest of Public Helper (PKO), which formerly was the core of Muhammadiyah in helping people selflessly.

This was said bythe chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Din Syamsuddin, at the Navy Air Juanda Sidoarjo, Saturday Morning, (07/02/2011), in order to simulate a plane crash and the joint exercise of Muhammadiyah volunteer on a series of national working conference of LPB PP Muhammadiyah. In his speech, Din Shamsuddin, expected that through simulation and the joint exercise of Muhammadiyah volunteer, Muhammadiyah disaster Management Agency to increase the capacity and capability in responding to disaster like a plane crash. "One time volunteers have to be the leader of Muhammadiyah and the fastest in responding to rescue victims of disasters, in addition to the standard of professionalism, loyalty, and dedication in carrying out the task.

Dinsaid that responsibility as disaster relief volunteers was a sacred duty whose dedication is not merely to fellow humans but also to the creator of nature. "Voluntary task is part of worship, so it must be carried out in their earnest and just hope God's blessings," he explained.
