General Secretary Reported the Dynamics of Organizational Movement

Samarinda – According to the agenda of Muhammadiyah Tanwir Congress in Samarinda, on Friday (5/23) after the opening, they held the first plenary meeting containing a speech from the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Din Syamsuddin. 

Din presented his speech entitled Dinamika Gerakan Pencerahan, Menghadapi Tantangan, Mengatasi Dilema (The Dynamics of Enlightenment Movement, Facing Challenges, Solving Dilemmas). Muhammadiyah faced challenges from the dynamics of national politics, and their dilemma on their main role as cultural movement and the force to join the practice of national politics. 

Din added that in order to face the challenges and dilemma mentioned above, Muhammadiyah does not need to lose hope and confidence. Muhammadiyah is a large organization and has its own greatness. Muhammdiyah also has its experience on facing the similar situation in the past, and thankfully had successfully solved the trial and historical ordeal. Even, the historical experience brings wisdom and reward which enable Muhammadiyah reach its pleasing improvement.

 Next, the first plenary agenda was continued by the presentation by Dr. Agung Danarta, the General Secretary, on the report of Muhammadiyah Central Executive. The General Secretary presented the report regarding organizational consolidation, the dynamics of Muhammdiyah movement after Muhammdiyah Tanwir held in Bandung in 2012, and lastly, the preparation of 47th Muktamar.

“We have prepared Best Practice Central Executive of Muhammadiyah, in the form of booklets and will be distributed to all participants of Tanwir Samarinda. Best Practice contains the programs, which have been successfully performed by Muhammadiyah until present,” Agung Danarta concluded. (dzar)
