Samarinda – Muhammadiyah held a Tanwir Congress on “Dakwah Pencerahan Menuju Indonesia Berkemajuan”.This event was attended by Awang Faroek Iskandar, the Governor of East Kalimantan as the host and Din Syamsudin, the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive.
In the opening of Tanwir Congress at 9 a.m., Muhammadiyah and the Chairman of BPJS for Health, Fahmi Idris, signed a MoU (Memo of Understanding). This was related to the cooperation done between BPJS and Muhammadiyah’s Amal Usaha Kesehatan.
“I hope there is a synergy between BPJS for Health and Muhammadiyah. We also have RS PKU Muhammadiyah, which are allocated in every province,” Din said when he signed MoU in Hotel Mesra, Jl. Pahlawan 1, Kota Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Friday (5/23).
Meanwhile, in educational sector, they will build Muhammadiyah University of Samarinda or University of East Kalimantan. Awang Faroek as the Governor of course supported the idea. “According to my initial vision about education, I am very delighted with the idea and will help with the establishment of Muhammadiyah University of Samarinda,” Awang Faroek said.
Tanwir Congress will be held until Sunday (5/25). One of the agenda is inviting two couples of President-Vice President candidate to present their vision and mission on Indonesia Berkemajuan according to Muhammadiyah’s purpose on Saturday (5/24) starting from 8 a.m. WITA (Indonesian East Local Time) for Jokowi-JK and 11 a.m. WITA for Prabowo-Hatta. “Of course we will hear their knowledge about Muhammdiyah besides their other programs,” Din said.
