LAZISMU and ERCI of Yogyakarta Shared 1000 Orphans and The Dhuafa

Kasihan - Institution of Charity, Donations, and Alms of Muhammadiyah (LAZISMU) together with automotive communities Suzuki Ertiga Club Indonesia (ERCI) of Yogyakarta and the Committee of Ramadan 1435 H at the Campus of the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a charity called 30 Days Of Giving Community Roadshow concerned with community action and thousands of orphanages and the Dhuafa.

 

The event, which was held on Sunday afternoon (13/7) until breaking the fast in the Sportorium of UMY was followed by thousands of orphaned children and the orphanage Dhuafa from all parts of Yogyakarta. Previously, participants are invited to follow the competition of drawing, coloring and art performing, and then at the end of the event, the winners were awarded prizes by the committee.

 

Donations collected from this program were then given to all orphans in the forms of school packages and compensation package as well as door prizes for the orphanage in order to develop an orphanage. "This program runs during the holy month of Ramadan, and it is held not only in Yogyakarta, but 30 Days of Giving program with the community is also held in Jakarta and some areas of LAZISMU network. We hope to communities or other automotive to participate with LAZISMU in this program, not only in the month of Ramadan, but also after Ramadan." Said Sigit Nugroho, Manager of LAZISMU Representative of Yogyakarta.

 

Sigit also added “LAZISMU often hold similar events not only during the month of Ramadan. LAZISMU also has opened a donation account for the Palestinians. Donations collected will be distributed through the Palestinian Embassy of Indonesia in Jakarta.“(Dhar)
