Hundreds of Martial Artists Ready to Fight in KejurnasTapakSuciSolo

Surakarta – The 16th National Championship (Kejurnas/KejuaraanNasional) of self-defense art TapakSuci, was officially held on Thursday (8/21) in GOR Manahan. The General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Din Syamsuddin, opened the event, which was attended by more than 300 martial artists.

There were a total of 302 martial artists from 22 provinces who participated in the 16th National Championship in the history of TapakSuci. The General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Din Syamsuddin, hoped that the championship would be able to add the numbers of National-level martial artists in TapakSuci division.

“Many of them said that they are ready, but they couldn’t accept the result of the game,” Din said in the spare times of the opening.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of PanpelKejurnas, Ronny Syaifullah said that there were 30 representatives from Central Java, while some of the national athletes such as SaptoPurnomo, SlametRiyadi, and DikiAnanda.

TapakSuci is in the Top10 of historical martial art in Indonesia. And TapakSuci always gives real contribution for martial art sport of Indonesia in the world,” said Rony.

In the same place, the General Chairman of the Central Executive of TapakSuciPuteraMuhammadiyah, AfnanZamhari stated that this National Championship was the 16th National Championship, since 1963 when it was founded. The National Championship was held until Sunday (8/24) and was attended by hundreds of athletes throughout Indonesia. Some came from Egypt as the supervisor, and from Singapore as a participant.

Tapaksuciwas an autonomous organization of all organizations of Muhammadiyah and the activities were real. Tapaksuci had succeeded Muhammadiyah of founding its branches all over Indonesia. Afnan hoped that this National Championship would prioritize sportsmanship, as a silaturahim event, and as the benchmarks of the success of martial art training.  

The agenda of tapaksuci after this, Afnan stated that they would add the coach. “Adding up the number of the coach and improve the quality, therefore, whenever we need them, they will be ready to train,” he concluded. (dzar)
