Yogyakarta – The peak event of Muhammadiyah Anniversary would be held in Sportorium of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta on November 18, 2014. The peak event was the part of chain of events for the 47^thMuktamarMuhammadiyah that will be held in Makassar 2015. According to the secretary of the center committee of Muktamar, IwanSetiawan, the Anniversary will invite all Provincial Chairman of Muhammadiyah throughout Indonesia. This event will also be the launching of the logo and anthem for 47^thMuktamarMuhammadiyah. “We will also launch the logo and the anthem for MuktamarMuhammadiyah and as planned, this event will be broadcasted and aired live on Muhammadiyah TV and Muhammadiyah radio streaming live,” he explained.

Anniversary Celebration

Celebration of 105^th/102^ndMuhammadiyah Anniversary was held in many regions, Muhammadiyah of Central Sulawesi celebrated the anniversary by holding a chain of events that was also to celebrate NasyiatulAisyiyah Anniversary. Among the events were Healthy Walk (JalanSantai), Sports and Arts Week (PekanOlah Raga danSeni/Porseni) for students, Camping for Muhammadiyah Students in Palu (Kemah PelajarMuhammadiyah se-Kota Palu), and Workshop on education. The events would be held from October 19 to November 15, 2014, which was held in the campus of PerguruanMuhammadiyahNunu, KecamatanTatanga, Palu, Central Sulawesi.

Whereas, Muhammadiyah of South Sulawesi planned on holding a Muhammadiyah Anniversary Reception as the peak event to celebrate this year anniversary, which will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 19:30 WITA in the campus ground of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. As the invitation went, the committee invited all members of the organization, from the Sub-district executive to Central Executive to attend the event. The Muhammadiyah Central Executives planned on attending were the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, HaedarNashir, and General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, AgungDanarto.

From Karawang, the Vice Regent of Karawang, CellicaNurrachadiana in her opening speech of 105^thMuhammadiyah Anniversary stated that she would keep supporting Muhammadiyah on its steps, because the government could not walk alone without the support and the active role of civil society such as Muhammadiyah. “We, Pemkab, are obligated to support all government partners. InsyaAllah by doing this kind of meeting, our kinship as silaturahimUkhuwahIslamiyah will always be bonded. We should make advantage of this moment as a way for strengthening our cooperation continuously. I will be lying if I say the government could work on our own.
