Yogyakarta – Today, the ideology of Muhammadiyah was not as thick as it used to be. The past ideology needed to be revitalized in order to distinguish Muhammadiyah from the others, as well as made us better than the others, as stated in the promise of Hizbul Wathan. These ideas were delivered by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Dahlan Rais, in the opening event of the 2nd Tanwir for Gerakan Kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW) held in SMP 2 Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, on Friday night (12/12).
Ideology, as stated by Dahlan Rais, needed to be reaffirmed, the reaffirmation of brotherhood ideology. We should revitalize the ideology of Muhammadiyah members to make it as strong as it used to be. So that Muhammadiyah members were not only strong in charity activities in education, social, empowerment, and so on.
Gerakan Jamaah Dakwah Jamaah did not work that well. Dahlan hoped that through Hizbul Wathan they could revitalize the ideology of Muhammadiyah organization. The spirits for leading HW should be spread in many fields through da’wah HW.
This was also, Dahlan added, another important thing we should prepare in the discussion material for the 2nd Tanwir HW, the preparation for National HW Jamboree and the 47th Muktamar Muhammadiyah held in Makassar in 2015.
We should be sure on what we walked in, everything came from Allah. Remain positive thinking should be the most important mindset in our da’wah activities.
The 2nd Tanwir of Hizbul Wathan was held for three days since it began on Friday night (12/12) until Sunday (12/14). It was attended by all HW cadres from all Provincial Kwatir in Indonesia, Qobilah HW in Yogyakarta, and Qobilah HW in Muhammadiyah Universities in Indonesia, which was represented by the Vice Rector III.
