Thousands Tapak Suci Martial Artists Ready to Guard Muktamar Muhammadiyah - ‘Aisyiyah

Makassar – Thousands of martial artists of Tapak Suci Putera Muhammadiyah were being prepared to guard the 47th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah that would be held on 1 and 7 of August 2015, in which the opening ceremony would be held in Karebosi Field Makassar. This was stated by the General Chairman of Muktamar standing committee, Ir. HM. Syaiful Saleh, M.Si on the coordination meeting of Public Relation and Syiar Muktamar team held in Pusat Dakwah Muhammadiyah, jl. Perintis kemerdekaan no 38 Makassar, on Thursday (01/15/2015).

“This muktamar is a grand event in the 21st century, in which it will be attended by 6000 participants of Muktamar itself and hundred thousands of others from all over Indonesia. There will be other ten events in order to support the main event; they are International Gathering (Silaturahmi Internasional) of Tapak Suci, gathering of Muhammadiyah cadres in executive, legislative, judicative, and business level, international seminar, Munas of Tarjih Council (Muhammadiyah scholars from around the globe), National Jamboree of Pandu Hizbul Wathan, Muhammadiyah farmers and fishermen guests from around Indonesia,” said Syaiful. He also explained that the event would discuss about the programs for Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah for the period of 2015-2020, as well as the succession of leadership of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Central Executive Board.

 

Muallimin Alumni Gathering

Thousands of Muallimin Muhammadiyah of Yogyakarta alumni planned to hold an alumni gathering in the same time as the moment of Muktamar Muhammadiyah in Makassar, which would be held on August 1, 2015, at campus Unismuh Makassar. According to the standing committee of Muallimin alumni gathering, Irvan Mawardi, on committee meeting in da’wah hall (gedung dakwah) of Muhammadiyah Central Executive in Menteng Raya 62, Jakarta, on Saturday (01/17), the event aimed as a unification effort of all alumni who had succeeded in their fields of study and those who were still studying overseas, and they were hoped to attend the gathering. Prof. Dr. Din Syamsuddin, Prof. Dr. Amien Rais, Prof. Dr. Syafii Maarif, Dr. Khoiruddin Bachori, Dr. Busyro Muqoddas, and other guests were expected to be the keynote speaker of the event.
