"Indonesia got a major problem, especially with a heavy flow of economic, political and cultural liberalization, which bore certain consequences, always be positive, but also a lot of negative, based on the politics of liberal democracy. Indonesia is on the application of the teachings of the most liberal. This outstanding issue, especially since the reform, also included in the economic field in the quotation marks of the global capitalization. It is an option that is actually not only in big cities, but also in small towns. Well this is what we see, hopefully later this congress can bear critical examination of the national situation and also find solutions in the future,“ he said.

Moreover, in line with Din Syamsuddin, Ahmad Shafi'i Maarif, former General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, said he hoped that this SeminarPre-Congress of Indonesian Muslimsshould discuss the major problems being faced by the nation. He hoped that the congress was not tempted of the political battle that was going on today. .

Due to our socioeconomic, we, the Muslims, are still weak, then in congress I hope it has the objective to strengthen the social," he explained. He also critics that if the congress was Muslims one then it supposed to have not only participants from Muslim-based community organizations, but also from party politicians who were Muslim in order to synergize to build Indonesia.
