Jakarta – The General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Youths Central Executive, DahnilAnzarSimanjutak thought that President Jokowi had broken his promises in order to eradicate corruption as he expressed in his campaign if he firmly pointed Budi Gunawan as Kapolri. The court decision on the pre-hearing for BG case was not considered as important decision to determine the inauguration for Kapolri.

This was stated by Dahnil in his speech on supporting action by Muhammadiyah Youths for KPK at the KPK RI Office Jl. HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta on Monday (02/16). Dahnil added that the pre-court decision had completed the fact that Indonesia was in the Dark Age of Eradicating Corruption, corruptors were hand in hand fighting against the effort to diminish corruption by KPK. “The pattern could be clearly seen, and President JokoWidodo was the one with complete responsibility in this situation; he is even the one who bring upon the Dark Age,” he explained.

Furthermore, the lecturer of UniversitasMuhammadiyahTangerang believed that civilians who cared for the agenda of eradicating corruption should not stay still. That the citizens did nothing to tackle corruption would only ease the corruptors on doing their wrong-doings. “We should not stay still and do nothing, we should cooperate and fight together against corruption,” he affirmed.
