Muhammadiyah Wants PAN Fight Only on the Pro-People Laws

Yogyakarta – Muhammadiyah had won Judicial Review of several Acts that was considered contrary to the Constitution and away from the interests of the people such as Law on Mining and also water resource management.Partai Amanat Nasional (National Mandate Party – PAN) as one of the political parties who wase also responsible for all decisions of law through its members in the House, wasexpected to only fight Acts in favor of the people at large and was not concerned with foreign corporations.

It appears in the gathering (silaturahmi) of PAN with Muhammadiyah in building Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Jl. Cik Di Tiro 23 Yogyakarta, Wednesday (25/2). It was led by the Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, along with other PAN board ranks as Azwar Abubakar, Didik J. Rachbini, Teguh Juwarno, Totok Daryanto, Suyoto. There was also Soetrisno Bachir, a former Chairman of the PAN, and Din Shamsuddin, Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive. Din who also accompanied by the ranks of Muhammadiyah and Autonomous Organization in central level revealed that the importance of members of Parliament to make Acts which did not conflict with constitution. "There should be no laws that are produced in Senayan which is contrary to the constitution and the detriment of the people and countries that Muhammadiyah should perform jihad constitution and sued in the Court," he said. Din also asked that the PAN continue caring relationship with Muhammadiyah, because however many cadres and PAN voice coming from a large family of Muhammadiyah. "It's because of PAN and Muhammadiyah had a difficult historical relationshipbrought up. In PAN period ahead, we expected that PAN could synergize with Muhammadiyah, especially in efforts ongoing of Muhammadiyah jihad constitution, " he said.

In this opportunity, Zulkifli Hasan promised that PAN in the future would be to hear the voice of the people more and bring all the aspirations of organizations such as Muhammadiyah for the sake of the interest of the nation and the State. "We will continue to build communication with Muhamamdiyah and will make more regular meetings for many aspirations for the sake of a more dignified of Indonesian nation," said the number one in the ranks of the People's Consultative Assembly.
