Din Emphasized the Importance of Demands in Performance

Makassar – The General Chairman of MajelisUlama Indonesia (MUI) who was also the General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Executive, Professor Dr. Din Syamsuddin emphasized the importance of demands in performance. This was delivered when he gave a short opening speech after receiving award trophy from KPI on April 1st 2015.

Din stated that the award he received was neither for him nor for two organizations he led, which were Muhammadiyah and MUI. The award was presented for all Muslims and people of Indonesia. According to Din, this was because actually people of Indonesia were the ones who supported and created positive and high quality programs. Thus, Din hoped that people would still become the broadcast supervisor and controller. Din also advised the broadcasting institutions to keep doing their responsibility to also educate the people of Indonesia by broadcasting programs that were not only entertainment but also education. In the end of his opening speech, Din expressed his appreciation toward KPI that had showed their concrete roles as the government quasi institutions with the responsibility towards the high quality, educative, and enlightening broadcast.

Din Syamsuddin received the Award from KomisiPenyiaran Indonesia (KPI). The award as TokohPendukungPenyiaranBermutu was given by KPI to Din on the event ofResepsiHariPenyiaranNasional(Harsianas), April 1st that was held in AnjunganPantaiLosari, Makassar, South Sulawesi. Similar award was also given by KPI to governmental institution Governor of South Sulawesi, and private-owned institution RumahSinema. The celebration of HariPenyiaranNasional in Makassar was to honor the establishment day of the first radio station (PeresmianStasiun Radio Pertama) in KratonMangkunegaran Solo, 82 years ago. The celebration of Harsiarnas also concluded the chain event of Rakornas KPI, which was attended by all commissioners of KPI and KPID from all over Indonesia. #mst
