Yogyakarta - Muhammadiyahis an organization which is too big to be included in the region of practical politics, therefore the number of power bids available is to test Muhammadiyah’s consistence on its original track.
This was expressed by chairmanof Muhammadiyah central executive Din Syamsuddin in Muhammadiyah National Consolidation held at Muhammadiyah headquarter Jl Cik Di Tiro no. 23, Jakarta, Tuesday (27/09/2011). With the current social dynamics, Muhammadiyah is much driven by many forces to enter into political territory in order to promote only momentary interest, "Muhammadiyah must be consistent to always be a leader in safeguarding religious values oneach policy and the social dynamics at the grassroots level," explains Din Syamsuddin. As a missionary movement of enlightenment with all its weaknesses and strengths, according to Din, we remain optimistic and continue to move towards independence. "If Muhammadiyah moves towards condition that highly dependent on the government, Muhammadiyah can also be destroyed if the state falls," he said.
Furtheraccording to Din, if the government does not violate the principles of democracy and religion, he said, Muhammadiyah could be the frontline guarding of any government policy. On the other hand Din reveals, things will not be tolerated by Muhammadiyah is the problem of corruption and unpopular policies, especially relating to the economy and welfare.
