Blanket Has Flown To Nepal

Jakarta –Muhammadiyah through Charity, Donation, and Alms Institutionhad sent blanket worth sixty million dollars to the victims of the earthquake in Nepal through the departure of the second team of National Disaster Management Agencydeparting at 8.00 pm of the West Indonesia Time, Friday (1/5).

According to ArifNurkholis, the Secretary of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC), this aid is commitment of the Charity, Donation, and Alms Institutionand MDMC to help victims of earthquake in Nepal on April 25th, 2015. "Last night at eight o'clock, the plane that carried the second Indonesia team had been left with the help and also one of the MDMC personnel, Rachmawati Husein, that became the LO (Liaison Officer) of Indonesian team who will carry out humanitarian activities in Nepal," he said Friday night, (1 / 5). Furthermore, Arif said that Indonesian team delegation was led by National Disaster Management Agency that was estimated landed in Kathmandu at one in the morning (2/5) local time.

Previously,MDMC team also sent three health workers who participated in the initial group of Indonesian team that was also led directly by National Disaster Management Agency on April 30th, 2015. The first batch of Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center team consisted of dr. Indra Giri  (pediatrician) of Jakarta Islamic Hospital Pondok Kopi, dr. Meiky Fredianto of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Yogyakarta and Noor Kunto Aribowo of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul today had arrived in Nepal (2/5) and directly coordinated with international institutions related to the establishment of the Hospital (RS) Emergency with National Disaster Management Agency Team.
