Muhammadiyah Youth Must Deliver Advanced Da’wah

Jakarta– Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, the General Chairman of Muhammadiyah Youth Central Executive, said the challenge of the Islam da’wah and the soul of Indonesia today was different from previous periods. Therefore, in the age of 83, Muhammadiyah Youth should be able to create a renewable model of Advanced Da’wah.

 "It is the duty of Muhammadiyah Youth to treat the spirit of renewal (tajdid) of Muhammadiyah nowadays and in the future," he said when contacted by the editor, Tuesday (12/5) afternoon. Earlier on Monday (11/5), Muhammadiyah Youth Central Executive implemented the Reflection of the 83th Muhammadiyah Milad in the Da’wah Building Auditorium of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Jakarta. This event was attended by the former Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Youth such as Din Syamsuddin, Hajriyanto Y. Thohari, Abdul Mu'ti, and Izzul Muslimin. In his speech, Din Syamsuddin said that Central Exectuve Muhammadiyah Youth profile was different from the previous period. "Today, it (Central Exectuve Muhammadiyah Youth) looksdifferent, changing. The chemistry is match. This chemical compound is important," he said while giving a speech.

 Furthermore, Din Syamsuddin said that Muhammadiyah Youth as part of the Muhammadiyah Young Generation should provide enlightenment among the youth cadres and gave birth to cadres of the future leaders of Muhammadiyah and the nation. Din Syamsuddin also asked them to remain istiqomah in jihad against corruption. (mac)
