SD Muhammadiyah Sukonandi Won National Robotic Competition

Yogyakarta – Sokonandi Robotic Community (Skorco) Team of SD Muhammadiyah Sokonandi Yogyakarta became the winner in a national level robotic competition BARONAS in junior category that was held by Institute of Technology of Surabaya (Institut Teknologi Surabaya/ITS) on May 09-10, 2015. 

On the national competition that was participated by 107 teams, Skorco Team successfully placed their 2 teams as the first and third winner. There were total of seven teams from Skorco Team of SD Muhammadiyah Sokonandi that was sent to BARONAS national competition. The teams consisted of Khaffah Abdilah Shahih, Arfa Raihan Zaki, Daniswara BAP, M. Akbar Wiratama, Diatrie Padmasari, Muhammad Daffa Noorsyahputra, Mirza Evrizco Timmerman, Nur Arif Dwi Raharjo, Muhammad Raif Dharmawan, Daniswara Axel Wibisono, Kafa Nur Ausath, Muhammad Ikhwan Amin, M. Syafril Arubal, Akmal Brian Mahardika. They were supervised by a team of teachers: Sriningsih Wahyu Pangesti, Fitri Umiyati, Achadin Priyo Sudibyo, and Amroni Supriyadi.

According to the Head of Academics (Bidang Kesiswaan) of SD Muhammadiyah Sokonandi, Sriningsih Wahyu Pangesti, there were actually four teams that passed the selection process, although the teams that became the first winner was Skorco 4, consisted of Nur Arif Dwi Raharjo and Mirza Evrizco Timmerma and the third winner was Skorco 1, included Muh. Akbar Wiratama and Kaffah Abdillah Shahih.

“Robotic as extracurricular activity is popular among the students, no wonder that there were 14 students who were included in the teams for BARONAS competition,” she explained to the editorial board on Wednesday (05/13). BARONAS was the biggest national robotic competition for students of elementary, junior high, and senior high school, as well as for university students of Technical Engineering of ITS.

Previously, Skorco Team also successfully scored many medals in a robotic competition International Islamic School Robot Olympiad (IISRO) that was held in Johor Baru, Malaysia, last yera. (mac)
