"Basically a hospital has two sides: hotel and medical side. In Indonesia, the one mostly developed is hotel side,”  he said.

Therefore, according to dr. Mardiatmo, hospitals in Indonesia should be developed to be a world class hospital. World-class hospital must meet 5P requirements. They are personil (personnel), peralatan (equipment), prosedur (procedure), pelayanan (service), and performance,” he explained.

The effort, according to dr.Mardiatmo, is anticipation for patients who go abroad for medical treatment as well as to increase patients' trust to have medical teatment in Indonesia.  “Patients have to believe in a hospital, and the hospital also has to believe in patients. So, gradually the hospital will get trust from its customers," said the Director of PKU Muhammadiyah Solo hospital. (Eko Prasetyo)
